2009 ........

WOW..... I must of had a blast cause Time has flown past in the last year. (The old saying "Time fly's when you have a good time") I can't believe I haven't been on this since last May. So much has been going on.... well with my family not me. I am my own boring self not doing much of nothing. Since I was last on, My Son is now a Junior in High School... Yep, My baby is now a Jr. he only has a few more credits to being a Senior. OK breath Donna .... I am still not believing he is going to be a Senior. I can remember when we went to register him into Kindergarten they gave him a flag on a pencil that said Class of 2010. I though oh how cute we will save that.... thinking how far away 2010 was..... OMG That is like now!!!!!!!!!! Oh I still have that pencil some where in this house I saw it not so long ago. I know I still have about 15 months till he graduates...... but people time is flying so fast and I am not having fun!!!!
I do however look forward to seeing what God has in store for my Son's future. We still have 15 month and a summer of praying before he goes off to college and leaves his Mama. So in that time I will continue to pray and enjoy my Son and try to teach him all that I still thinks he needs know. The problem is I should mention that I am just His Mother who drives him nuts about 95% of the time. I still have that 5%. I will try and add photo's soon.

How do you punish a kid for growing..............

OK, if you read the last blog you will know that I told Chris that he is to stay in size 13 shoes. He is not to grow anymore when it came to his feet, height was Ok but not shoe size. If you read the title of this blog you should have guessed by now he did not listen to me ....once again. He is now in size 14. When will it stop.... UGH! No more buying shoes at Kohl's and other stores (Kohl's and others do carry size 14 but only in a few shoes nothing we like of course), most sports stores still carry his size but not in all styles. We went to a sports store to get new running shoes (second pair of size 14 shoes first was football cheats) well when the store clerk bought Christopher his shoes and he put them on and sure enough they fit, I popped Chris on the thigh and told him that was for disobeying me. The clerk (young gentleman) looked at me like I was crazy. I told him that I told my son he was to stay in size 13. I explained myself so no men in white coats came, well not yet at lease. Oh well, the look on my son's face was good enough. I can't figure why he thinks it is so cool to have huge feet?

Oh My Gosh!

Christopher went on a mission Trip to New Orleans for Spring Break. They worked on a house inside and out. Well before he left we went and got him a pair of work boots. This is where the picture comes in. After his return I was moving his boots when I saw the different between my foot and his boot. Now I have a big feet (women's 8 1/2 - 9) but when I put them up against his boot I could not believe how big my Son's feet have gotten. He has been in size 13 for a little while but for some reason it just hit me harder than normal. While shopping he said his feet were still growing. Well I told him right there that size 13 is as big as he is allowed to grow. Do you know how hard it is to find shoes for a size 13. He has a friend from church that wears size 15 or 18 the kid has big feet and has to have them special ordered. like I said I have informed my son that he is done in the growing in the feet department. He is allowed to grow taller but that is it. I have put my foot down. Oops, isn't that where all this started from ...........

Happy Easter!
I can't believe it is Easter already, didn't we just celebrate Christmas? It is officially Monday morning because it is after midnight but I still claim it is Easter because I haven't gone to bed yet. So Happy Easter!!!!!! I had plan to add Christopher's picture with his Easter basket but I didn't get the shot and if I did it would still be on the disk in the camera like all the pictures I have taken since Christmas. Christopher went to the first church service with his dad and I choose to sleep in so I went to the second Easter service so by the time I got home I missed the picture cause he was already out of his Shirt and Tie. Not wanting to miss a Easter Picture I asked him to put back on the shirt and tie. When I asked I knew it was a long shot (better odds in the lottery) but I thought I would ask anyway. The look told it all. No Easter picture for me. I had plan to get a picture later in the day but I forgot. Maybe tomorrow I ask him to pose with the basket and take a late Easter picture. Why not, I am late for everything else. Christopher has a spring cold so he is full of snot and hasn't been in a wonderful mood. Well, he is only in a bad mood in my presence. I bring out the best in him...... I love this age... NOT. Easter Bunny made a few mistakes this year. Brought my son a PS2 game he got for Christmas (like the bunny can keep up with all the games he has, Chris should be happy the bunny even bought the game. Like I told him Bunny gave me the receipt and he can go exchange it for what he wants.) You do know when my Husband and Son reads these I will get a eye roll for talking bunny. Oh well ...... Santa gives out coal so what does the Bunny give out?, There was more... wrong kinda gum (brought the kind I like.... what is wrong with that), He didn't even care for the Strawberry milkshake Oreo's. He drinks strawberry milk all the time? "oh well" what happen to being thankful that the Bunny brought anything. He did like the big box of Dots and whopper eggs and several other items but as usually lately the bunny like his Mom can't please him. Did I say already that I love this age....... Today, all that was petty when you think all that Christ did for us on that Cross. But He IS ALIVE! So I am forgiven of all my sins and my sin of not being the Mother my Son thinks I should be. He loves me I just have to remind him..... he really does love me, he tells me and I even get kisses goodnight. Most night..... and even at his worse I am very thankful that God allowed me to be his Mom. Thank You God, for allowing your Son to die on the cross for me and everyone that reads this blog and for allowing me to be a mom in the good and the not so fun times. Amen.

The body of the car is dark green but looks black in some lights. Flames are light neon green.

Happy 16th Birthday!

Christopher is SIXTEEN! My Baby turned sixteen on October 30. And what does every sixteen year old want for his birthday? That's right a car, and that is what he got a 1973 El Camino (a Hot Wheels all grown up). Christopher has loved El Caminos for years (still trying to figure that out). His car has been hiding at a friends house so we told Chris that I had to drop off something before we went out for his Birthday dinner. Well when we drove up he saw a few of the family members then he saw a big bow (orange and blue) on top of a car that had a car cover on it. We got out and all he did was stand and stare. After awhile we told him to check out the car. So he went to the car and stood and stared some more. The boy was in shock, he would stare and shake his head. We then told him to take the car cover off. He did but still was not talking we kept asking him thing he would reply but then just stared. He did walk around the car but mostly stared at one side. After a little while longer Ken asked if he would like the keys. He then check out the inside. He then sat in the car still in shock. I have this on video and one day I am going to set down and time how long he went without speaking. I can honestly say I have never seen him so shocked, and quiet. We then went inside for cake and ice-cream and open more presents. After his mini Birthday Party he drove his car to the restaurant. I have never seen him drive so slow. I think it took him a few days to realize he got a car for his birthday.
